The tiny metal alloy and extremely tough body supports canon’s compact 3.2 mega pixel digital camera, Power Shot S30 that is based on Canon S40 elements. Sharp 3x zoom lens, view finder or monitor of 1.8 inch color LCD, straight print abilities with the Canon S820D printer, fast plug and play USB line and Type I and Type II Compact Flash memory cards together with IBM Micro drive. High-resolution imagery of 2048 x 1536 pixels with supplementary settings in support of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480 and 1600 x 1200 complete color images are formed by 3.2 Mega pixel CCD sensors. There has been an enhancement in the film Mode to provide two-resolution form instead of one resolution mode with audio quality of QVGA (320×240), and Q2VGA (160×120).

Picture excellence setting together with 3 JPEG compression forms namely Fine, Normal and Superfine are granted to consumer by Canon Power Shot S30 for higher elasticity. Its additional distinct features are three forms of Metering:, Spot, Center-Weighted Average and Evaluative, Manual focus with distance readout and the part of image covered by the active focusing point is enlarged while focusing.
