Canon EOS Digital Rebel falls in the group of reasonable priced digital SLR cameras with zoom lens and 6-mega pixel. It was launched in later part of 2003 and it costs around $ 1,000. In 2005, it was replaced by Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT with 8 mega pixel and higher photo superiority and shooting presentation. Later both of them were successfully substituted by Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi SLR with 10.1 mega pixel with 9-point AF system. It also has a huge 2.5-inch LCD monitor that helps in clear display. It provides better functioning compared to EOS 30D, which provides only 8-mega pixel instead of 10.1 mega pixels in this case. It has better burst shooting capability of 27 frames, self-cleaning image sensor. However, in 30D the user can continuously shoot for 5 frames instead of 3 in this form, it was also having larger custom settings and a better rough magnesium body. Rebel XTi is formed for persons who are moving from digital to SLR, without dropping the flexibility of SLR. It has towering momentum, normal colour reproduction together with clear subjects, enhanced auto white stability, high-saturation together with enlarged white stability rectification management and white balance bracketing because of the DIGIC II image processor. It has superior photo excellence and quick initiation time of 0.2 seconds.

Its various modes can be selected through the mode dial. Night Portrait , Full Auto, Portrait, Program AE , Landscape, Flash Off , Close-up, Aperture-priority AE, Manual and Auto Depth-of-Field AE, Sports, Shutter speed-priority AE are the various shooting situations which are covered by Rebel XTi. Its ISO varies between 100-1600, which improves the image superiority and minimizes the unnecessary movement in the camera.

Canon states that its integrated cleaning scheme is not available with any other kind of camera available in the market. The display-off sensor provided with the camera mechanically switch off the LCD monitor while the user raises it to his/her eye level. It not only saves power but also stops deviation of screen vividness.
